Today's World/ Kill The Gays

Activists protest "Kill the Gays" bill at Ugandan Embassy, London. (AFP/Getty Images)

You wouldn't believe that living in the 21st Century something like this will actually happen. But apparently it could if we don't do something quickly.

In an "almighty" act Uganda's President Yoweri Museveni decided to create a law that  could come up for a vote in the next 24 hours and would make being LGBT in Uganda a crime punishable by death.

Let's raise our voice and let Mr. President know this is against every human right by signing and sharing the petition vowing the veto the "Kill the Gays" bill.

Today's World/World Water Day

In 1993 the United Nations General Assembly declared March 22 as World Day for Water. Ever since, the UN and its member nations devote this day to implementing UN recommendations and promoting concrete activities within their countries regarding the world's water resources.

The results of  contamination and abuse of "Human kind" to the natural resources have been increasing over the past couple of years. This day reminds us how important is  to take care of Mother Earth.

Here's a thought, next time your taking a shower; think about our planet and jump into with your lover, friend or whoever you want... But don't take too long; remember, it's actually to help save water and not another gay porn shower scene.

Today's World/Arriba las mujeres!!!

International Women's Day (8 March) is a global day celebrating the economic, political and social achievements of women past, present and future.

This is the day when we pay respect to those intelligent, smart and great women who had and are helping to the world to become a better place.

Also as a reminder, that all of us are in this together and we should be able to work equally, respect each other and give credit to every great mind in this world.

So turn around and you'll probably see an amazing woman next to you...

Today's World/Happy Fat Tuesday

Fat Tuesday for Mardi Gras (in french), refers to the Carnival Celebrations on or after Epiphany and culminating on Ash Wednesday. Refers the practice of the last night of eating richer, fatty foods before the ritual fasting of the Lenten season, which begins on Ash Wednesday.

But I don't give a FUCK about this and neither do you, the best about "Mardi Gras" season is that you get another excuse to party and WHY NOT? show some or a lot of skin.

And "Aussies" sure know how to do it. The Sydney Gay Pride three week celebration ( largest such event in the world) attracts international and domestic tourists. The parade and dance party becomes a national festivity full of men dancing in tiny clothes, costumes and masks.

Something I will not surely miss next year...

Today's World/ International Day against AIDS

Today the world wears red to raise awareness of the AIDS pandemic cause by the spread of HIV infection.

There's 33.3 million people living with HIV, over 2.6 million newly infected with HIV in 2009 and 1.8 million deaths from HIV the same year.

The overall growth of the epidemic has stabilized in recent years. The annual number of new HIV infections has steadily declined and due to the significant increase in people receiving antiretroviral therapy, the number of AIDS-related deaths has also declined.

That doesn't mean we are done fighting this disses, visit the  organizations to see how can you get involved and make donations; but more IMPORTANTLY, protect yourself and others, wear a condom and get tested, just because you can't see it, doesn't mean is not there.

Today's World/ Miss Mexico crowned Miss Universe 2010

Miss Mexico Jimena Navarrete was crowned Miss Universe 2010 tonight in Las Vegas, after rocking a flowing red gown.

The 22 years old woman, originally from Guadalajara, told the audience it's important to teach kids family values, as she answered her question.

There's some curious facts about this victory for Mexico. She's the second woman who has won the pageant. The first one Lupita Jones, was crowned Miss Universe in 1991 in Las Vegas. She was also crowned by a Venezuelan woman, and she also wore a red dress for the Gala, interesting, isn't it!?

Today's World/World Graphic Design Day

Every april on the 27th, we celebrate the World Graphic Design Day. It's celebrated in this day, to remember the foundation of Icograda (International Council of Graphic Design Associations). The day has been celebrated since 1995.

Unfortunately, since I've been pretty busy getting drunk over the weekend in FNSM2010, I couldn't manage to create a design!

But I didn't want to pass by this day, so for all you fellas, designers and people who loves design... Congrats!

So i found this poster by reading Isopixel. One of his students made it and posted on his blog. Hope you like it.

Remember design is passion & passion is design.

Today's World/ Feria Nacional de San Marcos

Today's World/ 5.2 earthquake hits Australia
