The Annual Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade best known as Dallas Gay Pride took place last Sunday. Under a blue sky the colors of the rainbow marched down Cedar Springs Road to cheer up thousands of onlookers that gathered together to celebrate their Pride.
A hot sunny Sunday was the perfect scenario for breaking all prior attendance records, and also to show some skin.
It was my first PRIDE and I must admit I was super excited. This celebrating comes kind of easily nowadays, but let's not forget that back in 1969 in New York City, our people had to fought to defend their sexuality. Pride comes now as something not to be a shame of. People should be proud of their sexual orientation and gender identity, diversity is a gift, and that sexual orientation and gender identity are inherent and cannot be intentionally altered.
After the parade, the hot boys enjoyed the rest of the day visiting the bars down Cedar Springs, where it was all about having fun and celebration. Jr's was packed and the rhythm of the music kept everyone dancing, The Round Up Salon had the most gorgeous guys, the sexiest Texans and the most diversity audience. Drama Room kept it sexy with their strippers. Definitely a day I won't forget.
